Gender Diversity & Equity Connect Us

Updated: Dec 30, 2020

Diversity is a popular word these days, and that is a good thing. From my point of view, the diversity discussion is fast becoming part of lives. More than ever, we have been trying to learn and adapt ourselves to the gender, ethnic, and cultural diversity of our society. We need to recognize that we are now living in a plural society.

Diversity also brings strength to women to seek equivalent treatment in terms of rights, benefits, obligations, and opportunities.

Women have been learning from diversity that equity is the way for a better future. We do not want to be treated alike to others; we want our chance to show how far we can go holding hands.

Bringing women to network, share their histories and knowledge for what they can contribute, helps to develop an appreciation for the challenges other women face. It highlights journeys of women’s varied experiences at work, in their lives and in the world. Is there any better way of celebrating and living diversity and equity than being among other strong women? For sure, no!

To be even more diverse and to develop together the sense of equity, we have to be together. We have to share time, food, beverages, laughs, and tears. This is what we want you to do with us, and that is the reason we want you to be part of our WomenWork events.

Don’t miss our last speaker event of the year! Mark Tuesday, October 8th on your calendar, and meet Elisa Tawil, producer of 'Vieses Femininos’ Podcast. Save your spot at our upcoming WomenWork event by visiting

Already planning your end-of-year parties? Let’s celebrate our successes together! Several wonderful women have been our guest speakers over the course of the year, and these same amazing women have generously made a donation towards a special raffle drawing. Come to our Happy Hour & Raffle event at Cateto on November 12th and purchase a few raffle tickets to win items like iced wine from Canada, a basket full of personal pampering, or an in-depth palm reading! All proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will kick-start our charity drive for 2020 — helping the girls of today grow to be the women of tomorrow!

At WomenWork, we encourage social responsibility, sharing knowledge & experience for a better future, and the importance of any employment, whether paid or volunteer. The small fee to attend our events goes directly back to the greater São Paulo community. Since the launch of our event in May 2018, we have raised over R$2.200 in sponsorship funds for two girls at the American Society of São Paulo (AmSoc) Angel Party. If you’d like to find out more about this charitable event or any of the other charitable organizations that AmSoc supports, visit
